DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Brightflag is expanding rapidly and is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help strengthen and evolve the infrastructure behind its AI-driven legal technology platform. In this role, you will support production deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting for systems that need to be reliable, scalable, and secure.

This position is based in Ireland and can be performed fully remotely, from the office, or in a hybrid setup anywhere in Ireland, depending on what suits your lifestyle.

Location and eligibility

This opportunity is open across Ireland with flexible working arrangements, including office-based, remote, or blended work. Please note that work permit sponsorship and self-sponsorship are not available for this position.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and support the infrastructure and systems used to develop, test, and deploy Brightflag applications.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define infrastructure needs and deliver dependable solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, and configuration management practices that speed up software delivery.
• Set up and improve observability tooling to detect issues early, diagnose bottlenecks, and support performance tuning.
• Strengthen infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security by applying proven DevOps practices and the right tools.
• Keep current with DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure trends and apply relevant improvements to internal systems and processes.
• Partner with the security team on security compliance, vulnerability management, and incident response activities.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for system setups, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Skills and experience needed

To succeed in this role, you should bring around 3 to 4 years of DevOps experience, along with practical knowledge of programming and scripting, Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, networking, and web application technologies. Strong problem-solving, ownership, collaboration, and communication skills are also important.
