Construction Engineering Lead

Role Overview

This position is responsible for leading construction execution for a defined project area, making sure the work progresses according to the project timeline, technical specifications, and overall site requirements.

Core Duties

The role involves coordinating and supervising engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to keep daily site activities running efficiently. You will work with planning and procurement teams to ensure work areas are ready and materials are available when needed.

Another key part of the job is reviewing drawings and specifications, identifying technical concerns, and resolving them together with the design and QA/QC teams. You will also oversee productivity, cost, and resource use within the assigned area.

Safety and Quality

A strong focus on HSE compliance is required. The role includes conducting safety briefings, monitoring safe work practices, and supporting execution with the goal of zero incidents. You must also follow quality management plans, inspection checklists, and required documentation procedures.

Reporting and Planning Support

The position requires preparation and review of daily and weekly progress updates, with prompt escalation of delays or constraints to the Construction Manager. You will also support planning for shutdowns, heavy lifts, and major project milestones.

Leadership and Team Development

This role includes guiding site engineers and foremen while encouraging a cooperative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
