Certification Program Specialist, GMA

About the Role

This position focuses on the delivery and oversight of certification programs for UL Solutions in Singapore, with particular attention to Controlled Goods regulated by the Competition & Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations, along with other certification schemes managed by the business.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and approve Controlled Goods covered by CCCS regulations and other UL Solutions certification schemes.
• Coordinate and execute projects of moderate complexity, keeping delivery on track and effective.
• Offer day-to-day leadership, direction, and operational help to colleagues supporting certification program delivery.
• Work closely with business unit partners so programs stay aligned with customer expectations and internal goals.
• Assist Program and Scheme Owners with the daily running, upkeep, and improvement of certification schemes.
• Drive and participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at raising service quality for both internal teams and external customers.
• Handle program escalations and help ensure concerns are resolved in a timely, professional manner.
• Follow the UL Code of Conduct and comply with required physical and digital security procedures.
• Take on other duties as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, International Relations, or another relevant field is preferred, depending on the program scope.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Good understanding of the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry and the markets it serves.
• Strong grasp of certification scheme operations, with the ability to balance regulatory requirements against business and customer needs.
• Experience with specific regions and the regulatory environments that apply to them.
• Confident influencing ability and the skill to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to create networks and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to guide collaboration and bring people together around common goals.
• Comfort working in uncertain or changing situations, making practical decisions, and supporting customers with problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill requirements and explain complex topics simply.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach with a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.
