Role overview

Amazon Studios Series Casting is seeking an energetic, highly organized, and creative Casting Assistant to support the team that handles series casting across multiple productions. Reporting to the Head of Series Casting, this role helps keep the casting workflow running smoothly and provides coordination support across the department. The position offers exposure to high-profile projects and creators spanning a wide range of genres.

The assistant will manage a demanding workload, including detailed calendar coordination and complex travel planning for the Head of Series Casting and a Senior Casting Executive. This person will also collaborate closely with the studio’s Series Creative Development and Production teams.

Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in casting and/or at an agency or management company, along with the ability to stay composed, flexible, and productive in a fast-moving setting. Success in this role requires strong anticipation of needs, the ability to juggle several priorities at once, and confidence working with limited direction.

Key responsibilities

• Support the series casting team by coordinating day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
• Manage a high volume of calendar scheduling and travel logistics for senior casting leaders.
• Help streamline casting workflows and improve team efficiency.
• Work with creative development and production partners across the studio.
• Handle multiple priorities, deadlines, and shifting needs while maintaining accuracy.
• Anticipate issues, respond quickly, and keep projects moving with minimal supervision.

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Background in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in casting, talent agency, or talent management.
• Working knowledge of Cast-It, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft tools.

Compensation and benefits

The base hourly pay range for this role in Culver City, California is USD 23.00 to USD 34.00 per hour. Final pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, the compensation package may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
