Cafe Associate

Role overview

This position is for a café associate at a club location in Athens, Georgia. The role focuses on preparing food to standard, supporting members, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and helping the department run smoothly through quality control, inventory care, and teamwork.

Core duties

• Stay current on the specifications for prepared food items and work closely with teammates across functions.
• Help coach and support other associates by sharing tools, tasks, and resources, and adapt to changing business needs by working in different areas when needed.
• Prepare food according to product requirements, plan for future and large-scale production, and adjust for seasonal demand.
• Follow food safety rules, sanitation practices, cold-chain standards, inventory controls, and proper equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Use digital and handheld tools to support sales, improve the member experience, guide production and ordering decisions, receive club pickup orders, and support training and product quality.
• Monitor stocking, rotation, date control, and waste reduction to help keep the area performing well.
• Assist members by recognizing their needs, helping with purchase choices, accepted payment types, finding merchandise, and resolving concerns.
• Act as a positive representative of the brand, support a respectful and team-focused culture, and help others overcome roadblocks through coaching and training.
• Follow company policies, ethics standards, the Open Door Policy, and other operating procedures while completing assigned work on time and communicating progress.

Compensation and benefits

The hourly pay range for this role is $17.00 to $25.00. In some cases, additional hourly premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 may apply depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and more than one premium may be available if the criteria are met.

Minimum qualifications

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to complete all required job trainings and assessments within the assigned timeframe if hired.

Preferred qualifications

Preferred experience or credentials include food service experience, Food Safety Certification, and Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
