Role overview

The Branch Relationship Manager - Rural is part of the Rural Banking function and focuses on strengthening customer relationships in rural markets. The position is centered on understanding customer requirements, guiding them toward suitable banking solutions, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service.

This role also supports business growth by identifying opportunities for lead generation, expanding account usage, and building new relationships with potential customers. A strong command of the bank’s products and services is important for addressing queries and delivering effective support.

Key responsibilities

• Help expand liabilities business in rural locations by generating leads, growing account usage, and deepening customer relationships based on their needs.
• Track and maintain the average monthly balance for the relationships assigned to the role.
• Strengthen ties with the branch’s existing customer base.
• Complete account-opening procedures while strictly following KYC requirements; field verification is mandatory.
• Encourage customers to activate and use multiple products during account opening, such as mobile banking, net banking, recurring deposits, and fixed deposits.
• Ensure accounts remain actively used and maintain healthy account activity.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to increase wallet share.
• Handle and close customer questions, complaints, and service issues.
• Suggest improvements to branch processes to raise service quality and operational efficiency.
• Support livelihood advancement and community development initiatives as required.

Education and experience

Applicants should hold a graduation degree in BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, BTech, BE, or any other graduate discipline. The role requires 2 years or more of relevant branch banking experience.

This position is based in Samalkha, Haryana, India and is a full-time, onsite role.
