Role overview
An established, small accounting practice in North Dublin is looking to add a Bookkeeper to its team. The firm works with a varied client portfolio that includes SMEs, sole traders, and limited companies, and delivers services across accounting, taxation, and payroll.
Core responsibilities
- Handle the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
- Run payroll cycles on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit Income Tax returns.
- Keep financial records and client accounts accurate and up to date.
- Work directly with clients to collect information and support them on accounting and tax-related queries.
Skills and experience
- Currently qualified, experienced, or studying toward Accounting Technician (ATI), ACCA, or CIMA.
- Prior exposure to an accounting practice setting is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Irish VAT, payroll, and income tax is an advantage.
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and meet several deadlines at once.
