Barista

Role Overview

As a barista at Starbucks, you’ll help create a welcoming café experience where each drink and interaction contributes to a positive moment for the customer. The role is suited to someone who enjoys a busy environment, likes working with people, and takes pride in serving quality beverages and food with care.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare beverages and food items according to standard recipes, including customized requests such as temperature changes or ingredient substitutions.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, clear, and attentive way to understand their needs and provide helpful service.
• Handle cash and support store safety, security, and operating standards.
• Work across different in-store tasks throughout each shift as needed.
• Contribute to a fast-paced team environment while helping keep the store running smoothly.

Experience and Basic Requirements

• No prior work experience is needed.
• You must be able to maintain dependable attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Flexibility is required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• You should be able to follow store policies and standards for beverages, food quality, cash handling, and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills are important for success in this role.
• You must be able to understand and carry out spoken and written instructions, and ask for clarification when needed.
