Bakery Commis

Position Overview

A premium casual dining restaurant in Dubai is looking for a Bakery Commis to join its kitchen team. The role focuses on supporting bread and pastry production in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality and consistency.

Key Duties

• Assist with measuring, mixing, scaling, and baking artisan breads and pastries based on standard recipes.
• Prepare ingredients and organize work areas efficiently to keep up with catering and delivery demands.
• Follow strict HACCP food safety procedures and ensure every item is presented consistently.
• Support senior chefs with stock tracking, upkeep of equipment, and overall kitchen cleanliness and order.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on bakery experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• A recognized pastry qualification or a culinary diploma/degree is needed.
• Good practical knowledge of artisan baking, sourdough preparation, and pastry fundamentals.
