Software Tester (QA) Internship

About the internship

This internship is for a QA software tester who will help improve the quality, stability, and responsiveness of web and mobile products. You will partner with product and engineering teams to catch defects, verify new releases, and support a smoother user experience.

What you will do

• Carry out detailed manual and functional testing across web apps and mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Run regression checks to make sure new updates do not break existing features.
• Verify REST APIs and confirm backend integrations using Postman or similar tools.
• Test across different browsers and devices to ensure the product behaves consistently.
• Record defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and a comparison of expected versus actual results.
• Follow issues from discovery to closure while coordinating with the development team.
• Use AI-assisted tools to draft test cases, spot edge cases, create test data, and speed up testing work.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to candidates who can work remotely, are able to begin between 27 June 2026 and 1 August 2026, can commit to 3 months, and have relevant skills and genuine interest. Computer Science Engineering students are specifically eligible.

Requirements

• Working understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Comfort using browser developer tools for inspection and debugging.
• Some experience or familiarity with testing mobile apps, preferably React Native apps.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and API testing with Postman.
• Basic SQL knowledge for checking and validating data.
• Familiarity with GitHub for issue tracking and version control.
• Exposure to Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics is a plus.
• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Good attention to detail and clear documentation skills.

Compensation

The stipend for this role is INR 10,000 to 18,000 per month.
