Role overview
The Wealth Management Associate serves as a key client service professional, working closely with Financial Advisors, Private Wealth Advisors, and their teams to deliver high-quality support every day. In this senior service role, the associate develops trusted client relationships through frequent interactions and helps create an outstanding client experience with a strong client-first approach.
The position also contributes to business development and practice support, including help with digital marketing, portfolio and proposal tools, and financial planning activities. The role is based in Charlotte, NC.
Client service responsibilities
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external business partners.
- Help strengthen both new and existing client relationships by supporting an excellent overall service experience.
- Assist the advisor team in carrying out its client service model, including meeting preparation and follow-up tracking.
- Ensure client service tasks are completed promptly, and coordinate daily work assignments for team members when needed.
- Provide backup support for registered or unregistered client service duties when requested, including money movement, answering non-investment account questions, guiding clients through digital tools such as MS Online, and entering unsolicited or solicited orders in a clerical capacity.
- Stay up to date on policies, procedures, and platform updates, and share reminders and proven practices with the broader service team.
Business development support
- Support the advisor team in organizing and executing its business plan in partnership with related stakeholders such as Practice Strategy Consultants and Branch Management.
- Handle administrative work tied to digital and in-person marketing efforts, including conferences, seminars, webinars, websites, social media, and regular email outreach.
- Prepare and review client reports or financial plans from approved firm systems for current or prospective clients when requested.
- Assist with research using firm-approved systems when needed.
- Take part in client and prospective client meetings when asked, representing the service perspective.
- Join firm initiatives, training and education programs, special projects, and other duties assigned by local management.
Education, experience, and licensing
This role requires at least 5 years of relevant work experience. A four-year college degree or a professional certification is preferred. Active Series 7 and either Series 66 or Series 63 plus Series 65 are required, and additional product licenses may also be necessary.
Skills and working style
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep knowledge of financial services products such as equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts. The role calls for someone who learns new technology quickly, handles details carefully, stays organized, and can prioritize effectively. Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office and Excel, along with excellent writing, interpersonal, client service, and time management abilities are essential. Success in this role also depends on being collaborative, adaptable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask, and motivated by goals and results.

This position reports to the Business Service Officer.
