Role overview
As a System Administrator, you will keep the company’s IT environment running smoothly and securely. Your work will center on corporate infrastructure, employee access, SaaS platforms, device administration, and technical support. You will help maintain efficient internal operations by applying strong technical knowledge across cloud tools, security, and systems management.
This is an in-office position based in Lisbon, where you will work closely with colleagues from different teams in a fast-moving environment. Relocation support can be discussed for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the organization’s IT environment, including SaaS platforms, cloud services, and internal systems.
- Handle account setup, access control, and identity administration across tools such as Google Workspace, Okta, and Azure AD.
- Put safeguards in place for network security, endpoint protection, and encrypted data handling.
- Track system performance for hardware and software and resolve technical problems when they arise.
- Apply security controls such as MFA and RBAC to strengthen access management.
- Support the administration of workplace tools including Slack, Zoom, Notion, and Atlassian products.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks by creating and disabling user accounts as needed.
- Use automation to streamline IT workflows, operations, and monitoring.
- Keep software licensing records, compliance documentation, and internal IT records up to date.
- Offer technical assistance and guidance to employees so they can use systems effectively.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, or IT support.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based business environments such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong working knowledge of IAM platforms like Okta, Azure AD, or JumpCloud.
- Experience with endpoint management or MDM tools such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji.
- Understanding of network defense concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and zero-trust architecture.
- Exposure to scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python is an added advantage.
- Ability to diagnose and fix hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Good grasp of IT compliance, privacy obligations such as GDPR and SOC 2, and general best practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first setting.
