The Berlin site serves as the Baumer Group’s center of excellence for heavy-duty products. As Supply Chain Manager (a) with a focus on purchasing, you will take on a key role in a dynamic, forward-looking environment. You will help shape the full value chain and contribute significantly to making processes more efficient, more sustainable, and more innovative. Key responsibilities

• Identify, select, and further develop suppliers.
• Conduct and conclude negotiations on pricing and delivery terms, including individual and annual negotiations.
• Create and place individual orders as well as framework and volume contracts.
• Manage and improve the end-to-end supply chain.
• Evaluate inventory levels, demand, and material flows.
• Coordinate closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments.
• Plan and monitor procurement and production processes.
• Implement process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a similar field.
• Several years of professional experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a production environment, along with initial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of process improvement, production planning, and inventory management.
• Advanced user skills with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA, plus confident use of data analysis tools such as Excel and BI tools.
• Analytical and strategic thinking, assertiveness, and a hands-on mindset.
• Strong organizational ability and a structured way of working.

Work arrangement

The company operates on a 100% on-site basis because collaboration is expected to happen where ideas are formed: in person.
