İş tanımı

About the company

Imprint is creating a platform that helps leading brands increase the long-term value of their customers. The company began with co-branded credit cards and reimagined them to be more intelligent, more rewarding, and centered around the brand. Today, Imprint works with partners such as Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell to launch modern credit programs that strengthen loyalty, create savings, and support growth.

Beyond the card itself, the company combines payments infrastructure, underwriting intelligence, and customer data to anticipate customer behavior and respond in real time. This enables brands to launch powerful financial products without needing to become a bank. Imprint is positioning itself as a modern alternative to legacy bank-backed card programs, with flexible systems built for how people pay today.

Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, Ribbit, and Khosla Ventures, Imprint is growing a high-performing team focused on changing how people pay and how brands scale.

Role overview

The work spans transaction authorization, ledger accounting, credit decisioning, rewards logic, and payment processing, along with new product development and platform improvements.

What you'll do

  • Take end-to-end ownership of essential financial systems, including authorization flows, accounting ledgers, credit decisions, rewards mechanisms, and payment processing.
  • Design and launch new products and capabilities as the platform expands, while also improving existing systems.
  • Contribute to shared platform services, API foundations, and developer tools that improve engineering speed and reliability.
  • Use AI-enabled workflows across development, testing, and production engineering as part of the day-to-day approach.
  • Partner closely with product, design, infrastructure, compliance, solutions engineering, and external brand partners.
  • Work in a fast-moving environment where individual ownership has direct business impact.

What the company is looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience building backend systems in production, with fintech exposure considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with systems that process real money, serve real users, or make real-time decisions, with strong attention to correctness.
  • Strong Go skills, or experience in another comparable language with the ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Familiarity with AI development tools such as code assistants, MCP servers, or agentic workflows, or a strong interest in adopting them.
  • Experience maintaining data consistency and transactional integrity in distributed architectures.
  • Solid relational database knowledge, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
  • Ability to design APIs used by both internal applications and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, CI/CD practices, and deployment tooling.
  • Background in on-call support and incident handling, including root-cause analysis.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work naturally across product, design, and engineering functions.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and making practical tradeoffs to keep shipping.

Technology stack

The engineering stack includes Go, MySQL, DynamoDB, Temporal, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Datadog, and Statsig.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive pay along with equity.
  • Choice of a configured work computer.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Fully paid, high-quality medical coverage, including dependent coverage.
