Role Overview

We are seeking a Private Equity Associate for a remote contract engagement based in Canada. The assignment requires a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week and offers compensation of $100 to $144 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out detailed due diligence work and assess confidential information memoranda, summary information memoranda, and related transaction materials.
Prepare, edit, and improve Investment Committee memorandums and Board presentations to help guide internal decisions.
Work through public filings, financial statements, and complex deal documents to support thorough investment analysis.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track progress, surface issues, and catch material errors.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of care and precision across all deal-related activities.

Required Background

Substantial experience in private equity, or a blend of private equity and investment banking experience at the Associate or Analyst level.
Hands-on exposure to public filings, M&A or financing transactions, and the preparation of CIMs, SIMs, and due diligence packages.
Strong command of Investment Committee memos and Board Deck creation, with the ability to structure complex information effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to varied audiences.
Strong organizational discipline, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
