Role overview

An opportunity is available for an internal candidate to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as a Junior Analytics Engineer in Cwmbrân, Wales. The role sits within business intelligence and analytics, supporting the development of data products that help improve health service delivery across Gwent.

This post is fixed-term or secondment for 20 months to meet service needs. If applying on secondment, you must obtain approval from your current line manager before submitting your application.

What the role involves

You will help provide high-quality business intelligence support to the Health Board and contribute to the creation of BI solutions with direct operational and patient-care impact. The post requires you to convert business needs into technical specifications, build business intelligence products, and produce clear analysis, reports, and applications that communicate findings effectively through strong visualisations and well-written commentary.

The work includes handling complex data analysis using tools and platforms such as MS SQL, Qlik Sense BI, and Google Cloud Platform.
