Role overview

As a Host at Hard Rock Cafe in Munich, you will be the first point of contact for guests and play a key role in shaping their first impression at the door. The role involves greeting visitors, escorting them to their tables, and updating them through the pager system when needed. In addition to welcoming guests, you will act as a guide, entertainer, decision-support helper, memorabilia expert, and—at heart—a musician.

Core responsibilities

• Open doors for guests when needed.
• Welcome guests warmly and thank them for visiting.
• Answer questions accurately and courteously.
• Keep the waiting area tidy, orderly, and presentable.
• Handle incoming telephone calls.
• Explain directions to different areas within the restaurant.
• Help maintain the safety of employees, guests, and VIP visitors.
• Support servers, bussers, and managers as required.
• Set up and close down the host stand and complete extra cleaning and upkeep tasks such as wiping windows, polishing metal surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming floors, cleaning menus, and checking guest restrooms.
• Work to ensure every guest leaves satisfied.
• Create memorable Hard Rock Cafe experiences.
• Look after guests in line with the Hard Rock spirit and service style.

Requirements and working conditions

• Ability to perform duties that involve bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Compliance with uniform standards.
• Following safety and hygiene standards.
• Waste recycling wherever possible.
• Calm, composed behavior and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
