About the Role

This position is for a Gujarati language content reviewer focused on educational assessment items for schoolchildren from Grades 1 to 10. Your core task will be to quality-check Gujarati questions before they are released for use, ensuring they are accurate, suitable for the intended age group, and aligned to the GSEB curriculum. Since source material and day-to-day communication are handled in English, strong English fluency is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine Gujarati assessment questions to confirm they are factually correct and aligned with the GSEB syllabus.
• Assess whether each item matches the intended grade level in terms of difficulty, vocabulary, and concept complexity.
• Ensure the Gujarati wording is natural, grammatically sound, and appropriate for a child’s developmental stage, especially for younger learners.
• Check that every question has one unambiguous correct answer, sensible answer choices, and is written clearly enough to stand alone.
• Identify and report anything that is outside the syllabus, incorrect, unclear, or not age-appropriate, along with a brief explanation.

Requirements

• Teaching experience in a primary or secondary school setting within the GSEB framework, serving as a subject-matter expert in at least one subject.
• Strong understanding of the GSEB curriculum, including what is taught in each grade and how topics progress across levels.
• Fluency in Gujarati and English, with near-native or native-level command of Gujarati for reviewing and refining content, plus strong English communication skills for working in an English-first environment.
• Background in teaching, child development, or a closely related area that demonstrates the ability to judge content suitability for children of different ages.
• High attention to detail and the ability to explain clearly why a question or answer is correct or incorrect.
• Comfort with basic tools such as spreadsheets and the ability to learn a simple review application with minimal training.
• Preferred: prior experience creating or reviewing educational content or assessments.
