Role overview
Infosys is hiring an Employee Relations Specialist for its Bhubaneswar location. This position sits within the employee relations function and is centered on fostering engagement, strengthening culture and values, and supporting a healthy workplace environment. The role also covers employee care initiatives such as health and wellness support, along with emotional support measures including counselling.
The position is a front-facing one and includes handling employee concerns, resolving workplace conflict, managing grievances, conducting disciplinary investigations, and supporting feedback processes. Since the role may require interaction with local authorities when needed, familiarity with the local language will be considered an advantage.
The expected experience range for this role is 2 to 4 years.
Key responsibilities
- Review, investigate, and resolve employee relations matters at the location so that issues are settled fairly, agreements are reached, and disputes are reduced.
- Track workplace culture and values, help implement policies and procedures, act as a trusted internal advisor, and contribute to maintaining a positive work environment.
- Support employee assimilation efforts and ensure timely response to emergencies within Infosys policies and standards.
- Drive the execution of personnel policies and procedures across the location.
- Set up clear control points and allocate responsibilities effectively.
- Work with business teams and relevant external stakeholders to support organizational goals.
- Handle employee assimilation activities and new-hire compliance requirements.
Candidate profile
- Full-time MBA degree, preferably from a tiered business school.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with complex employee or workplace issues.
- Strong ability to build relationships across all levels and work effectively in an advisory role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, empathy, negotiation, and diplomacy skills.
- Strong analytical ability and facilitation skills.
- Creative problem-solving approach with the ability to deliver practical solutions.
- Comfort with changing priorities and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite position based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Local language knowledge is an added advantage because the role may involve coordination with local authorities as required.
