Rentokil Initial is looking for a full-time Driver to join the Fareham team. The role suits someone who likes working independently, organising their own day, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Compensation and working pattern

The starting salary is £26,720 per year, with an expected on-target earnings figure of £28,720 per year through bonus and commission opportunities. This is a permanent role with a Monday to Friday schedule and a 40-hour working week. There is scope for the hours to rise to 48 per week in future, with pay increased accordingly.

Role details

You will drive to customer locations to collect and remove hazardous waste safely and professionally. This includes servicing waste containers such as sharps bins, poisons, dental waste, and similar materials. The position involves physical work, including loading and unloading bins and units, so comfort with manual tasks is important.

Key duties

• Travel to customer sites and handle the collection and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Work safely and keep the vehicle in good condition at all times.
• Follow the company’s safe-driving guidance while on the road.
• Represent the business professionally and provide strong customer service.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence for more than two years and have no more than six penalty points. You should be comfortable with manual handling, flexible enough to adapt to changing work patterns, and able to use your own initiative. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. An ADR certificate would be an advantage, though it is not required. Depending on the role, a DBS check may also be needed.
