Job Purpose
The Divisional Incharge (Projects)-SM is responsible for advancing business development in the Smart Metering space. The role involves spotting new opportunities, supporting project delivery, and helping shape and implement practical, forward-looking solutions. By using market understanding and strong coordination with stakeholders, this position contributes to expanding the Smart Metering business in line with growth and innovation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare economical and competitive bids that support business goals and improve project returns.
- Track the progress of Smart Metering initiatives, including MSEDCL Package 6, to ensure quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout bidding and execution to lower operational exposure.
- Study market competition and build risk-mitigation approaches that support stable and secure project delivery.
- Support the rollout of Integrated Project Management Software to improve transparency and operational efficiency in Smart Metering workstreams.
- Work with the AMI Strategy team to create Smart Metering solutions that respond to market changes and business objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to remove execution bottlenecks and ensure project plans are implemented effectively.
- Build strong working relationships with DISCOMs, utilities, vendors, and regulatory bodies through clear communication, defined deliverables, and adherence to project requirements.
Stakeholders
Internal: Project Department, Finance Department, Compliance and Risk Management Department, IT/Technology Department, Operations Department, Customer Service Department, Procurement and Supply Chain Department, Safety and Quality Assurance Department, Human Resources Department, Smart Metering Tender Department.
External: Government and Regulatory Bodies, Vendors.
Qualifications
Eligible candidates should hold a BE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics. An MBA is preferred. Experience required: 0 to 5 years.
