CSSD Technician

Role Overview

Aman Hospital in Doha is looking for a meticulous CSSD Technician to support the hospital’s sterilization and infection control processes. This is a full-time, on-site position suited to someone committed to maintaining safe, sterile medical instruments and equipment.

What You Will Do

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical tools and medical devices.
• Run autoclaves and other sterilization systems correctly and safely.
• Package, label, and store sterile supplies in the proper manner.
• Keep sterilization documentation, records, and activity logs up to date.
• Work in line with infection control procedures and recognized international standards.
• Carry out regular inspections and basic upkeep of CSSD equipment.

Experience and Qualifications

The role calls for at least 3–5 years of hospital experience and strong knowledge of sterilization methods and infection prevention practices. Candidates should be comfortable with autoclave use, sterilization indicators, and detailed record-keeping. Good organizational ability and careful attention to detail are essential.

Education and Certification

Applicants should have a minimum higher secondary school certificate along with one of the following: a CSSD certificate with at least one year of training, or a diploma in a health-related field with at least two years of study. Alternatively, a CSSD certificate of at least six months is acceptable if accompanied by membership certification from either the Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD), USA, or the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), USA.
