About the Role

Join the COBS Bread team at our Spruce Grove Century Crossing location as a Baker. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking who are eager to learn, even without prior experience. You will be instrumental in crafting fresh, artisan breads and treats that our community enjoys. As a baker, you'll transform the kitchen into a bustling hub of activity, filling it with the inviting aromas of freshly baked goods from the early morning hours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small team to prepare a diverse range of products daily from scratch, strictly following established recipes.
• Ensure the bakery remains a clean and orderly workspace while providing excellent customer service.
• Interpret production schedules and recipes, accurately measure and combine ingredients, skillfully shape dough, and operate various baking machinery.

Requirements

• Must be an early riser, capable of starting shifts as early as 2:00 AM.
• Possess a positive outlook and a strong desire to learn, irrespective of previous baking experience.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, effective communication, and solid organizational abilities.
• Committed to producing high-quality baked goods while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing and walking for prolonged durations.
• Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 22 kg (50 lbs).
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting motions while engaged in baking activities.
• Continuous use of hands for tasks such as mixing, shaping, and operating equipment.
