Job Purpose
The Associate Manager - Security role focuses on carrying out security operations in line with the broader security strategy. The position supports risk evaluation, helps implement mitigation steps, conducts patrols, manages access control, and contributes to protecting assets and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day security activities in a way that reflects the site and business security objectives, while sharing operational inputs that can improve the overall strategy.
- Help roll out the operating model and standard operating procedures so security processes are followed consistently and effectively.
- Take part in patrolling and CCTV-based monitoring of the premises, while recording observations and maintaining strong situational awareness.
- Assist with access control activities and escalate any process gaps or deviations to the security leadership team.
- Support the handling of visitor access cards and help ensure entry and exit procedures remain secure and efficient.
- Monitor traffic and cargo movement, including checks for vehicle and cargo authorisation, using tools such as GPS and RFID tagging where required.
- Serve as a support responder during crises, emergencies, and incidents by following response plans and managing exceptions appropriately.
- Stay informed about digital tools and AI-driven developments that can improve business effectiveness and competitiveness.
Stakeholders
Internal: Officer Security, security personnel, and other zonal teams.
External: Law enforcement agencies and security vendors.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a closely related discipline is required.
Experience
The role calls for at least 3 years of experience in security operations, with a strong focus on access control, patrol management, and emergency response.
