Architect

Role Overview

The Architect will drive the design process from early concept development through to execution, ensuring smooth coordination across consultants, internal teams, vendors, and contractors.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and support the progression of design work from concept stage through implementation.
• Work closely with consultants to resolve technical and coordination issues, including vendor interfaces, engineering details, submittals, and collaboration with the Procurement & Contracts team.
• Apply sound knowledge of construction materials and building systems.
• Support the Planning team in releasing scopes of work and tracking design schedules effectively.
• Monitor design progress regularly and address delays with timely troubleshooting.
• Help define guidelines for selecting and finalizing contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate with other departments to understand and fulfill project requirements.
• Issue direction for ensuring compliance with all statutory design requirements.
• Provide technical inputs, clarifications, and reports to all project stakeholders as needed.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Strong coordination ability with multiple consultants.
• Understanding of materials, sequencing, and protection of completed work.
• Ability to interpret the construction sequence and plan design activities while managing inter-disciplinary interfaces.
• Good grasp of interior materials and the ability to prepare material palettes.
• Working knowledge of construction technology, project management, codes, and standards.

Experience and Qualifications

• B.Arch degree is required.
• 10 to 17 years of relevant experience is expected.
• Preference for candidates who have worked on large-scale projects involving high-rise buildings and finish-intensive works.
• Experience across at least 2 projects such as 5-star hotels, hospitals, clubs, malls, or luxury residences is required.
• Post-graduation is preferred.
• Overseas experience is desirable.
