Web Platform Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This role is for a Web Platform Engineer - AI Trainer who will help improve AI systems by completing coding-focused tasks. You will join a large community of technical contributors working across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related engineering areas to deliver practical impact in AI development.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You may be asked to create and solve complex programming problems, build polished applications with strong functionality, and analyze data through visualization and interpretation. Your contributions help refine intelligent models so they can learn and improve over time. Some contributors use this as a side role alongside another job, while others make it their main focus and choose tasks based on their own schedule.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. If you pass, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will then become available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a wide range of programming challenges used to train AI systems, with a particular focus on Android development.
• Produce well-structured code examples and explain them clearly.
• Review AI-produced code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Ability to work in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Excellent writing quality and grammar.
• A bachelor’s degree, either completed or currently in progress.
• Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is preferred.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor role. Work is paid hourly, with rates starting at $50 to $100+ per hour depending on the project, and some assignments may pay more. Payment is processed through PayPal, including any currency conversion from USD. You will never be asked to pay any fee to participate.

Availability and location

The role is open only to applicants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil, India, and the Philippines. Candidates outside these locations will not currently see assessments or available work on the platform.

Working style

You can choose which projects to accept and decide when to work. The role is designed for self-managed scheduling, and you may work from your own computer.
