About the role
ABB is seeking a Warehouse Operations Coordinator to support warehouse activities at its Napier site in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. In this position, you will help ensure smooth movement of goods, services, and information between the warehouse and the manufacturing unit, while also supporting administration, inventory control, health and safety processes, documentation, and internal communication.
The role sits within the Planning and Fulfillment function and reports to the Planning and Fulfillment Manager. It is an onsite position contributing to the Warehouse team in Napier.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels for warehouse consumables and raise replenishment requests when needed.
- Support stock checks and investigation of variances, and take ownership of the cyclic stock count process.
- Coordinate and track NCRs (non-conformance reports), including follow-up on corrective actions.
- Create purchase requisitions as required.
- Provide day-to-day operational support and help identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Keep inventory records current and update SAP and other systems with completion information.
- Upload and maintain training records and support the rollout of health, safety, and wellbeing systems and procedures.
Working arrangement
This is a full-time onsite role. The shift pattern is 8 hours per day, scheduled across a window from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and strong discipline in using systems correctly.
- Understanding of current health and safety legislation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A qualification in logistics, business administration, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Only New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are eligible for this role.
