US Tax Reviewer

Role overviewThe US Tax Reviewer will examine tax returns prepared by the tax team and make sure they are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client expectations. The position involves checking federal, state, and local filings, keeping quality high, and supporting the team with technical direction and process enhancements.Key responsibilitiesAssess US federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships to confirm correctness and compliance.Verify that all filings follow IRS requirements as well as relevant state tax rules.Spot mistakes or mismatches and suggest fixes before the final filing is submitted.Offer technical support and constructive feedback to preparers and junior colleagues.Stay current on US tax legislation, filing requirements, and due dates.Work with internal stakeholders to resolve client questions and manage escalations.Contribute to initiatives that improve efficiency and output quality.Keep supporting documents and work papers organized for audit preparedness.Qualifications and skillsA bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline is required; CPA or EA is preferred.Strong understanding of IRS guidelines and US federal/state tax compliance is essential.Hands-on exposure to tax tools such as CCH, GoSystem, Drake, UT, ProConnect, or comparable software is needed.High precision, strong analytical thinking, and a detail-oriented approach are important.Effective communication skills are needed to explain issues and feedback clearly.Ability to juggle several priorities while working to tight deadlines is expected.Additional informationThis is a full-time onsite role based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
