Position overview
This role supports the organization’s training effort by strengthening skills and quality initiatives across the Food & Beverage team. The trainer will help ensure that employees are trained in line with F&B values, standards, policies, and procedures.
Training and development
- Work with the Training Manager to assess training needs across the department.
- Create and share monthly and weekly training schedules, and arrange team participation in F&B training sessions.
- Keep the F&B manual, policy documents, procedure guides, and task breakdowns current and accessible, and make sure each employee gets a personal copy.
- Ensure every new hire completes F&B orientation and finishes the training checklist within the first week of joining.
- Maintain accurate records of training attendance for each team member.
- Deliver training on F&B standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Support productivity and team morale while maintaining discipline within F&B guidelines and local regulations.
- Identify training gaps and help design new training programs as needed.
Presentation and store management
- Ensure new employees understand the correct stock package and target stock levels to support sales potential.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and overall store presentation.
- Clearly communicate any updates to stock handling or store layout to the team.
- Make sure all team members follow retail standards consistently.
- Support back-store organization and replenishment of merchandise.
Health and safety
- Use required protective equipment and clothing when needed.
- Avoid unsafe operation of equipment, machines, or tools.
- Follow safe working methods and procedures at all times.
- Ensure the restaurant has an active health and safety program.
- Make sure team members are aware of hazards and receive documented safety training.
- Carry out regular workplace inspections.
- Address unsafe actions and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Report work-related injuries and illnesses to the relevant internal and external authorities.
- Investigate workplace accidents involving injuries or illnesses.
- Enforce compliance with the restaurant’s health and safety rules.
- Initiate performance counseling and disciplinary action when health and safety rules are ignored.
- Keep the Area Manager and Sales Operation Manager informed of any hazardous conditions or practices.
- Recommend improvements to store health and safety practices and programs.
