Role overview
This 6-month contract role in Beaverton, Oregon is for a Supply Planner who will help keep inventory and supply commitments on track, support purchasing activities, and partner with cross-functional teams to maintain service levels and delivery performance.
What you will do
- Support the twice-monthly delivery planning cycle, making sure materials are planned and bought within the required timeframes.
- Manage supply commitments by creating purchase orders for finished goods procurement and handling buy exceptions.
- Update purchase orders as needed, including changes tied to movement from the factory to the distribution center.
- Review purchase orders for compliance with company guidelines and help resolve delivery-related issues.
- Use analysis to identify risks early, communicate findings clearly, and explain performance drivers using metrics such as PIFOT (Planned in Full On Time), coverage, and unplanned activity.
- Contribute to team projects and support initiatives that affect daily business operations.
- Take proactive steps to maintain a healthy inventory position for the assigned business area.
- Monitor reports and dashboards, escalate issues that could lead to unmet demand or delayed timelines, and share delivery expectations, risks, and opportunities with Territory/Countries and Geo cross-functional teams.
Who you will work with
You will report to the Supply & Inventory Planning Territory Manager and collaborate with Territory DSM/Ops teams, Geography Consumer Planning and Merch teams, Global Supply Planning, and other partner teams as needed.
What we are looking for
- At least 1 year of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, or broader supply chain work.
- A bachelor’s degree is not mandatory, but it is strongly preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication abilities, with the skill to turn complex information into clear, compelling narratives for different audiences.
- Comfort shifting between strategic, tactical, and operational thinking, especially when helping deploy strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and facilitation skills, with the ability to build effective cross-functional and cross-cultural relationships.
- Proven analytical strength, including the ability to find relevant insights in large data sets and build executive-level stories.
- Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
- Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
- Experience using Tableau and Cognos is preferred.
- Exposure to SQL and data visualization or analytics tools such as PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Tableau, or Alteryx is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-moving, and frequently changing environment.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability in uncertain situations.
- Willingness to take part in assigned projects, including system releases.
