Sports Coordinator

Role overviewThe Ranchi campus is seeking a Sports Facilitator to help build an energetic and inclusive sports environment. The role centers on encouraging student participation, supporting sports teams, and ensuring that facilities, equipment, and events are managed smoothly.What you will doHelp increase participation in sports and recreational activities across campus, including mentoring student teams.Contribute to a vibrant sports culture by teaching or facilitating physical activities and sports sessions.Take part in campus sports and other activities on a regular basis.Support the planning and execution of sports events and festival-related activities.Coordinate with colleagues to keep sports and recreation facilities well maintained.Work with procurement and finance teams to arrange sports equipment when needed.Partner with student coordinators and sports consultants to ensure equipment is issued and returned smoothly, and to support budgets and reimbursements for external tournaments.Coordinate with security, housekeeping, and landscaping teams to provide the required support for students and sports activities.Reserve and manage shared spaces such as badminton courts, basketball courts, dance rooms, and yoga rooms in a fair and balanced way.Prepare and monitor annual budgets for sports materials and equipment.Help the broader sports team create clear systems and processes for efficient execution of all sports-related work.RequirementsA bachelor’s degree in physical education, along with a BPEd, MPEd, or a similar certification is preferred; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with proof of State or National level sports participation is acceptable.Strong interest in the long-term management and upkeep of a large sports facility.Prior administrative experience handling sports facilities or similar operations, preferably in an educational institution.Teaching experience in a sport is an added advantage.Experience in organizing sports events is also preferred.Application processApplicants are expected to send their CV by email with the subject line: “Application for Sports Facilitator- Ranchi”.
