Software Engineer, Salesforce

About the Role

This position is for a Salesforce Software Engineer who will help design, build, and support secure, scalable, high-quality solutions on the Salesforce platform. The work spans both frontend and backend development, partnering with business and technical stakeholders to convert requirements into practical technical designs. The role also contributes to modern customer experiences powered by AI.

Success in this role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce fundamentals, Lightning Web Components, Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, and generative AI-based solutions.

The working model is hybrid. The role will be carried out partly from home and partly from a LinkedIn office on selected days, based on team and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and release Salesforce applications with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative Salesforce tools.
• Create fast, accessible, and responsive user experiences that follow the Salesforce Lightning Design System.
• Develop server-side logic, integrations, APIs, platform events, and related backend functionality using Apex and REST/SOAP services.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Salesforce Architects to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Follow Salesforce best practices related to security, scalability, and application performance.
• Write unit tests and take part in code reviews to help maintain code quality.
• Assist with CI/CD processes and support release activities.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to continuous improvements across systems.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development ceremonies and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent level of practical experience.
• At least 4 years of software development experience.
• Proven experience building software on the Salesforce platform.
• Strong working knowledge of Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of Salesforce security concepts such as profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
• Experience using Git and CI/CD tooling.
• Good grasp of core software engineering concepts, including data structures, APIs, and testing.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce.
• Experience with Cursor or Agentforce Vibe Coding.
• Preferred: Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Agentforce Specialist.
• Preferred: 5+ years of software development experience.
• Preferred: Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, or other AI-enabled features.
• Preferred: Experience with integration platforms such as Boomi or ETL tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile development methods.
