Role overview
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator to join the Business Development and Marketing team within Commercial Services at TAFE Queensland SkillsTech, based at the Acacia Ridge campus. The role supports the delivery, monitoring and ongoing refinement of strategic projects and funded programs across SkillsTech and the wider Commercial Services portfolio.
You will help make sure contractual commitments, project milestones, funding conditions and organisational goals are met. The position involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to coordinate delivery, track performance, manage reporting, and support positive outcomes for participants and stakeholders.
The work is broad and covers project coordination, contract and funding administration, stakeholder engagement, reporting, analysis and continuous improvement. It contributes to region-based and statewide priorities through planning, governance, accurate reporting and practical recommendations that improve program performance and support future growth. The role reports to the Business Development and Marketing Manager and is mainly based at Acacia Ridge, though occasional work at other TAFE Queensland campuses may be required.
Key responsibilities
- Represent and reinforce TAFE Queensland’s values by helping build a positive workplace culture and demonstrating Safety First, Working Together, Customer focus, Initiative and Accountability.
- Support the rollout and delivery of strategic projects and funded programs across regional and statewide priorities.
- Develop productive working relationships with internal teams and outside stakeholders, including Queensland Government agencies and other project partners.
- Track performance against KPIs, milestones, contractual terms and funding conditions to ensure all agreed deliverables are met.
- Monitor spending, delivery performance and outcomes against budget limits, with a focus on maximising value from contracts.
- Spot, review and keep track of risks or issues that could affect delivery, compliance, stakeholder outcomes or organisational objectives, and escalate them when needed while helping shape mitigation actions.
- Prepare accurate reports, briefings and supporting analysis for governance and management purposes, showing progress, identifying issues and supporting continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain delivery tools such as project resources, communication plans, schedules and coordination processes that help ensure consistent planning and delivery.
- Support growth in programs by tracking results, identifying expansion opportunities, improving existing delivery processes, contributing to business cases or proposals, and making informed recommendations to management.
- Take part in local Performance Planning and Development activities and actively look for opportunities to build skills and support the broader Commercial Services portfolio.

Applicants will be assessed on the ability to manage contracts and projects in a complex environment, communicate clearly in writing and in person, analyse problems and develop practical solutions, and contribute effectively to a high-performing team while seeking continuous self-development.
Qualifications and requirements
No mandatory qualification is required for this role.
While not essential, a qualification or experience in project management and prior knowledge of Vocational Education and Training would be considered advantageous.
