Senior Procurement Manager

Role overview

This position is for an experienced procurement professional supporting EPC projects. The role requires deep exposure to large-scale buying operations and the ability to manage procurement for high-value project requirements.

What you will do

• Create and implement procurement plans that fit EPC project needs.
• Build sourcing schedules and project-wise purchasing strategies.
• Spot long-lead items early and place orders in time to protect project timelines.
• Balance overall cost, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
• Search for, assess, and engage suitable vendors for mechanical equipment, bulk materials, and related services.
• Develop and sustain a strong international supplier network for Minerals & Metals projects.
• Carry out technical-commercial analysis and negotiate with suppliers.
• Lead strategic sourcing programs and build durable vendor relationships.
• Track procurement spending and monitor savings initiatives.
• Support value engineering and other cost-reduction efforts.
• Prepare regular procurement MIS updates and demand forecasts.

Experience and qualification requirements

Candidates must have procurement experience in EPC projects. Prior handling of large purchasing volumes of around INR 1000–1500 crore per year is required. The ideal profile is a BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with 20–28 years of total experience.

This role is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and is a full-time onsite position.
