About the role

Latitude Financial is building a new Enterprise Growth division to accelerate expansion of its financial solutions, especially GEM Visa, into adjacent consumer spend categories across Australia and New Zealand. The initial focus areas include Health & Wellness and Home Services, which together account for roughly $30 billion in annual consumer spending each year in Australia and New Zealand.

This team works with a start-up style inside an established financial services business: moving quickly, testing new ideas, broadening the partner network, and uncovering new ways to grow. Opportunities may include creating new financial products or finding ways to increase each partner’s share of wallet.

The Relationship Manager will be central to the division’s growth in New Zealand. The role will strengthen partner relationships, help merchants optimize how Latitude’s products are distributed, and establish scalable commercial processes for the Enterprise Growth business unit.

To succeed here, you’ll need a strong commercial mindset and a start-up approach. The ideal person is comfortable working through ambiguity, takes ownership, is driven by goals, is willing to build or redesign processes from the ground up, and can proactively spot growth opportunities while balancing commercial risk.

You will manage a portfolio of high-growth clients, provide excellent service, represent Latitude and Enterprise Growth professionally, and identify cross-sell, upsell, and broader expansion opportunities. The role also involves frequent travel to partner head offices and their stores or clinics.

Client relationship management

  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of high-growth partners across the Health & Wellness and Home Services sectors in New Zealand, covering both the North and South Islands.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships with senior stakeholders such as COOs, CMOs, Practice Managers, and Store or Clinic Managers across partner networks.
  • Run regular partner reviews, provide weekly and monthly performance reporting, and lead strategic planning conversations.
  • Maintain strong partner satisfaction, retention, and advocacy.
  • Deliver a structured training approach that supports retail and sales finance adoption while keeping practices compliant.

Revenue growth and commercial development

  • Track and analyse account data to improve performance across assigned partners.
  • Identify, pursue, and close growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Design and implement account growth plans that align with business priorities.
  • Work with product, risk, compliance, and operations teams to deliver fit-for-purpose distribution solutions.
  • Contribute to forecasting the pipeline and reporting revenue outcomes.

Start-up mindset and business building

  • Help create and improve scalable account management processes.
  • Develop playbooks, templates, and client engagement tools from the ground up.
  • Spot inefficiencies in current ways of working and introduce practical improvements.
  • Adapt quickly to changing market and regulatory conditions.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Development, Product, Credit/Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams.
  • Advocate internally for partner merchants to help shape product enhancements and service improvements.
  • Support onboarding and implementation for new clients.

Market and industry insight

  • Keep up to date with financial services trends in New Zealand, especially in Health & Wellness and Home Services.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and the competitive environment.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities within target enterprise segments.
  • There is currently no Business Development team in New Zealand for Enterprise Growth, so this role offers the chance to gradually expand into that space over time.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 6 years of experience in account management, relationship management, or business development within financial services in New Zealand.
  • A track record of managing complex relationships across multiple levels within client portfolios.
  • Strong commercial judgement with proven ability to drive revenue growth and wallet penetration.
  • Experience in high-growth, transformation, or start-up settings is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of financial products relevant to the role, such as unsecured lending, payments, credit cards, instalment lending, and related services.
  • A revenue-focused approach, along with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership.
  • A strong willingness to learn and keep improving.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to present to audiences at different seniority levels.
  • Comfort using AI tools to speed up analysis, automate routine work, prepare reports, and tailor content efficiently.
