Role Overview

The QC Coordinator will join the Quality & Test function in a practical, hands-on role. The position covers incoming parts checks, quality control for outgoing products, packing verification, and maintenance of quality records. The work is carried out in an ISO 9001-certified setting and involves regular coordination with production, engineering, supply chain, and logistics teams to support efficient flow of product while upholding quality standards.

Core Duties

• Confirm packed customer orders match invoices, packing lists, picking slips, and Hubspot/Jira records before goods are released to logistics.
• Carry out final QC checks on new Hovermap payloads, RMA payloads, and accessory assemblies, reviewing workmanship, appearance, functional operation, power-on performance, and completeness of returned items.
• Perform quality inspections during assembly and sub-assembly stages, checking workmanship, part placement, and compliance with work instructions and engineering requirements.
• Inspect incoming materials and components against drawings, specifications, and the Engineering Release File Register, including First Article Inspections for new or updated suppliers.
• Handle Parts Special Acceptance activity for non-conforming parts and coordinate approval with Engineering, Production, and QA.
• Raise, evaluate, and track Non-Conformance Reports, especially those related to parts supply issues.
• Monitor ECN activity in Jira, follow up QC/QA actions, and keep the ECN tracking log current.
• Support new product introduction by attending trials and pilots, preparing FAI checklists, completing FAI checks on pilot units, and contributing to production handover approval.
• Maintain the register of measuring equipment and the calibration/preventive maintenance schedule for QC and production tools.
• Record rework performed on parts and assemblies when needed.
• Support the Quality Management System, including audit preparation, corrective action follow-up, and development of procedures and checklists.
• Take on additional duties as needed by the Quality or Production teams.

About You

This role suits someone with a strong eye for detail, practical inspection experience, and confidence working across multiple teams in a manufacturing or technology production environment.

Essential Experience and Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in QC, inspection, or QC coordination in manufacturing, electronics, or technology production.
• Hands-on exposure to incoming goods inspection, in-process inspection, finished goods inspection, and packing or shipping verification.
• Ability to use inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters, with an understanding of AQL sampling methods.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Experience handling non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to following documented procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Comfort using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar digital workflow systems.
• A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Desirable Experience

• Cert IV or Diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISO 9001 or Lead Auditor certification.
• Exposure to electro-mechanical or electronics assembly inspection, or IPC workmanship standards.
• Familiarity with FAI, ECN/NPI workflows, and ERP or inventory systems such as Fishbowl, FastFields, and Jira.
• Experience supporting internal or external quality audits.
