About the organization
The Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP) develops nonprofit, public-sector, and social impact leaders by strengthening the skills, knowledge, networks, and confidence they need to lead effectively, advance justice, and create a more equitable future. Its offerings include leadership and management development, community gatherings, network-building opportunities, and alumni programming designed to expand leaders’ knowledge, financial resources, and social capital at every stage of their careers.

Location: Greater Boston. This is a full-time, exempt role reporting to the Senior Vice President, National Program Operations. The position requires in-person work at the Dedham, MA office at least two days each week, regular travel throughout New England to support in-person programming, and occasional air travel about 3–4 times per year for national programs or events.
Role overview
The Program Coordinator will help deliver INP’s Core Certificate Program, RISE Program, or BLI Executive Fellowship across multiple U.S. locations. The role is central to student engagement, program execution, and stakeholder coordination, serving as a key representative of the organization. The coordinator will be the primary contact for students, support faculty with virtual-session technology, and assist with recruitment and enrollment of new participants.
Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day contact for student and faculty support across 4–5 cohorts.
- Build strong participant relationships that improve engagement and strengthen program outcomes.
- Lead Zoom-based sessions by handling attendance, breakout rooms, chat monitoring, and technical assistance for students and faculty.
- Keep all learning management system content and course information current and accurate.
- Help recruit new students by taking part in candidate interviews, preparing admissions communications, and responding to accepted applicants’ questions.
- Assist with enrollment workflows, including tracking forms, sending launch communications, and managing registration.
- Organize and coordinate events such as program sessions, graduations, and related activities, ensuring logistics are handled smoothly.
- Track office supply inventory, place orders as needed, and keep the Dedham office organized and stocked.
- Work with colleagues across teams to prepare supplies and branded materials for fundraising events, board meetings, and other organizational events.
- Handle multiple projects at once while keeping work on schedule and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support INP’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all coordination and engagement activities.
- Attend meetings as needed to keep programs aligned across locations.
- Ensure student and program data is collected accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with local and national colleagues on projects that match experience or professional interests.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- Strong alignment with INP’s mission and a genuine commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a nonprofit setting; prior program experience is preferred.
- Excellent organization and project management capabilities, with a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, solve problems, and work independently or collaboratively as needed.
- Comfort working with Google Workspace and Office 365, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across New England, with a valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle.
- Availability for in-office work in Dedham, MA at least two days per week.
- Ability to take occasional flights approximately 3–4 times per year.
Compensation and benefits
INP offers a competitive salary determined by the selected candidate’s skills, experience, and geography, in line with internal compensation policies. The stated salary range is $55,000 to $60,000 per year.
