What you will do

  • Direct, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams so production goals are achieved and a mindset of continuous improvement is maintained.
  • Make sure all health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently followed.
  • Manage day-to-day plant activities with a clear focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Lead improvement and change initiatives by introducing lean methods and more efficient ways of working.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to ensure the operation supports wider business priorities and plans.
  • Track KPIs and other performance measures, then use the data to improve outcomes and decision-making.
  • Coach and supervise production team leaders and shop-floor staff.
  • Partner with procurement, engineering, and logistics functions to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Compile and deliver production updates and performance reports to senior management.
  • Control production budgets and keep costs in check.
  • Support employee engagement, training, and development initiatives.
  • Build a culture of operational excellence, ownership, and teamwork.

What you need

  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, production, or a closely related environment.
  • A proven record of developing and sustaining high-performing teams.
  • Experience driving change and applying continuous improvement approaches such as Lean or Six Sigma.
