About Automotus
Automotus develops computer vision solutions that help cities and airports better control curbside activity. Its technology supports municipalities and airport operators across the United States with parking enforcement, loading-zone management, and new revenue opportunities. The company is expanding its go-to-market efforts to keep pace with that growth.
The Role
This position is responsible for the day-to-day marketing operations that keep campaigns moving. You will oversee events from planning through post-event follow-up, while also creating content that supports audience engagement. The role reports to the VP of Growth and works closely with sales and customer-facing teams.
The ideal person is highly action-oriented, comfortable moving quickly, and enjoys seeing projects through end to end. If you like taking full ownership and delivering tangible outcomes, this role is designed for you.
Key Ownership Areas
Events and Sponsorships
- Organize and deliver industry conferences, client dinners, and hosted events. The company sponsors 3 to 4 large events each year, 4 to 5 regional events, and 2 customer events of its own.
- Prepare and submit speaking proposals to increase visibility.
- Handle event logistics such as booth setup, promotional materials, staffing, attendee registration, and post-event follow-up.
- Arrange travel, lodging, and onsite coordination for the team.
- Monitor event-generated leads and measure return on investment.
- Recommend refinements that improve future event performance.
Content Production
- Develop one-pagers, case studies, buying guides, and sales support materials.
- Write and publish blog content aimed at city and airport decision-makers.
- Keep social publishing consistent across LinkedIn and other channels.
- Partner with internal teams to shape messaging and positioning.
General Operations
- Keep the marketing calendar and project tracking tools up to date.
- Assist with webinars, product demos, and customer presentations.
- Coordinate with vendors, agencies, and external partners.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone with 1 to 3 years of experience in event coordination, marketing operations, or content production, or equivalent hands-on experience. The right candidate should be comfortable taking initiative, managing projects independently, solving problems quickly, and delivering work on schedule. Familiarity with Google Workspace, project management systems, and basic design tools such as Canva or Figma is important. Interest in B2G sales, municipal technology, and the transportation or parking sector is also valuable.
You do not need to be a professional writer, but you should be willing to edit and publish content. Success in a fast-moving environment and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities are essential. Experience with HubSpot, event registration software, and conference sponsorship management is a plus.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a support-only position where tasks are simply delegated by a manager. You will be expected to drive execution, own event and content outcomes, and take responsibility for results.
