BMC is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in z/OS to join our dynamic AMI Cloud team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and automating quality assurance processes for cutting-edge security products built from the ground up. These critical solutions serve premier organizations globally, necessitating the highest quality standards. You will collaborate within a worldwide team of skilled QA Automation Engineers, working closely with development, product management, and customer support to ensure exceptional end-to-end product quality. Responsibilities

• Ensure superior product quality through a combination of automated and manual testing strategies, integrated from the earliest development phases.
• Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive functional and non-functional test plans.
• Construct and maintain robust automation scripts utilizing established frameworks for system and regression testing.
• Contribute to module design discussions, emphasizing the creation of high-quality, adaptable, maintainable, and BMC-compliant software.
• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the technology under test, including its core purpose, functionalities, and practical application scenarios.
• Meticulously document test outcomes, report identified defects, and manage their lifecycle through resolution using Jira.
• Engage actively with development teams, fellow QA professionals, product managers, and customer support to guarantee thorough test coverage, validate defect fixes, resolve issues, replicate complex scenarios, and provide customer assistance.
• Become an integral part of a collaborative global team spanning the USA, United Kingdom, India, and Israel.

Requirements

• Possess over 8 years of practical experience in QA testing specifically for z/OS products.
• Have more than 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation for z/OS products.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with z/OS utilities and environments including TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, SDSF, JES2/3, SMF, JCL, and z/OSMF.
• Show working experience with scripting languages such as REXX and Python.
• Exhibit good knowledge of RACF security management.
• Include experience with front-end browser-based QA methodologies.
• Provide hands-on experience with the Jenkins automation tool.
• Familiarity with QA test automation frameworks like TPNS, UFT, Selenium, Robot Framework, or comparable platforms.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Be a dedicated team player, a quick learner, and possess a genuine enthusiasm for the field of Quality Assurance.
