Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Xploregen Discoveries is looking for an entry-level Junior Data Analyst to join its team in the United States. This full-time position is suited to recent graduates or early-career candidates who are enthusiastic about working with data, reporting, and business intelligence.

The role focuses on turning raw data into useful insights that help improve business outcomes and day-to-day operations. You will work closely with different teams to collect, clean, analyze, and present data in a way that supports informed decisions.

What You Will Do

• Gather data from several sources, then clean, verify, and organize it for analysis.
• Review datasets to uncover trends, recurring patterns, unusual values, and practical insights.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help teams make decisions.
• Support the upkeep and development of business intelligence and reporting workflows.
• Track KPIs and operational measurements to monitor performance.
• Check data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Handle ad-hoc reporting, data pulls, and analysis requests from internal stakeholders.
• Work with other departments to understand their reporting needs and business goals.
• Record data handling steps, analysis methods, and reporting standards.
• Contribute to process improvement work through analysis and performance tracking.
• Assist with data governance and initiatives to improve data quality.
• Keep up with analytics tools, reporting platforms, and current best practices.

Required Skills and Background

Candidates should have a solid introductory understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting. Strong Excel skills are important, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and common analysis functions.

SQL knowledge for querying and retrieving data is preferred, and experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio would be an advantage. Familiarity with databases, data structures, and data management concepts is also useful.

Basic exposure to Python, R, or similar analytical tools will be considered a plus. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, detail-focused, comfortable solving problems, and able to communicate findings clearly.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar field is preferred.
