About Base
Base is building a new kind of power company for the United States. Its mission is to strengthen the electric grid by rolling out a broad network of distributed batteries, moving away from a fragile, centralized system toward one that is more resilient and capable of scale. The team brings together engineers, operators, and creatives to tackle deeply complex, cross-functional problems.
About the Role
Base is hiring a Graphic Designer who genuinely enjoys making polished work. This position is centered on execution, suited for someone who values craft, speed, and consistency. You will work within an established brand framework to produce marketing, sales, print, and digital materials that support market launches, customer education, and broader awareness of Base’s products.
Most of your work will happen in Figma, where you will create marketing campaigns, sales collateral, one-pagers, direct mail pieces, presentations, social content, and launch assets. Experience building web and landing page designs is helpful, though not a requirement.
This is a strong fit for a designer who enjoys translating creative direction into refined work at scale. You’ll contribute across many customer touchpoints, from sales materials and direct mail to launch campaigns and digital assets, helping shape how Base shows up across the business.
The team is small, ambitious, and holds a high standard for quality. Success here depends on excellent execution, close attention to detail, and the ability to deliver thoughtful design quickly across varied formats and channels.
What You’ll Do
- Create design assets for marketing, sales, and product launches across both digital and print channels.
- Develop one-pagers, sales decks, direct mail, event materials, social graphics, digital ads, presentations, and campaign visuals.
- Turn creative direction into well-executed, high-quality design deliverables.
- Use typography, spacing, composition, and systems thinking to build clean layouts and strong visual structure.
- Prepare files that are ready for production in both digital and print formats.
- Adapt campaigns for different channels, formats, and markets while preserving consistency and quality.
- Work closely with Growth, Sales, Partnerships, and other internal teams to deliver on fast-moving deadlines.
- Juggle several projects at once while keeping quality standards high.
- Maintain and improve design systems, templates, and reusable assets.
- Refine workflows, organization, and file management so the team can work more efficiently.
What You’ll Bring
- Between 2 and 6 years of professional experience in graphic design.
- A portfolio that shows strong layout thinking, typography skills, and success working within established brand guidelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and solid practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Hands-on experience creating both print and digital design work.
- A strong command of typography, spacing, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- The ability to handle a large workload while staying detail-oriented.
- Comfort working quickly without letting quality slip.
- Excellent organization and disciplined file management habits.
- The ability to follow direction, work independently, and execute with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
Nice to Have
- Experience with direct mail or print production.
- Exposure to performance marketing creative.
- Skills in motion graphics, video editing, or light animation.
- Experience designing websites or landing pages.
- Previous work in a startup or in-house creative environment.

Their work spans nearly every part of the company, including market launches, utility partnerships, homeowner education, digital experiences, physical products, sales enablement, events, marketing campaigns, and print.
