About the Company
SafelyYou is dedicated to helping senior living communities deliver safer, more person-centered care. The company uses AI, specialized hardware, and remote clinical expertise to improve resident outcomes, give families greater confidence, and help communities control costs.
Founded in 2015 from CEO George Netscher’s doctoral research at UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, the company was inspired by his family’s experience with Alzheimer’s disease. Today, it addresses major challenges in senior living such as falls, emergency room visits, staffing pressure, length of stay, and NOI.
SafelyYou has been recognized among the most innovative fall technology providers in the Senate Falls Report (2019), received McKnight’s Tech Partner of the Year, and was included on Fortune’s Impact 20 list.
Role Overview
SafelyYou is hiring an Events Manager to lead its events function. This position blends marketing and sales, with the main goal of generating qualified leads through trade shows and conferences. It also includes ownership of company-hosted events and internal gatherings.
The role covers the complete event journey: planning and logistics, pre-event outreach to build attendance and set meetings, on-site engagement to create strong interactions, and post-event follow-up that helps turn conversations into sales opportunities. The Events Manager will partner closely with the Director of Growth along with sales and marketing teams to make sure each event delivers measurable results.
Important: candidates must be based in the United States.
Event Strategy and Lead Generation

- Create strong engagement at each event by attracting target prospects, increasing booth traffic, and ensuring the brand makes a memorable impression.
- Plan and execute pre-event outreach to prospects and customers so awareness is built, meetings are scheduled, and attendance at event activations is maximized.
- Coordinate prompt, personalized post-event follow-up in collaboration with sales to help convert event conversations into pipeline.
- Monitor and share event performance data, including budget, expenses, leads, pipeline, and ROI versus goals.
Trade Show and Conference Execution
- Manage speaker and presenter application processes, including tracking deadlines, organizing submissions, and following each submission through to the event.
- Oversee end-to-end conference logistics, including budgeting, activations and partner coordination, booth development and production, setup and teardown, storage, shipping, support material production, internal registrations, travel, accommodations, swag shipping, and on-site coordination for meals and meetings.
Company and Internal Events
- Support the planning and execution of SafelyYou-owned events, whether internal or external, and across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Handle vendor and agency sourcing for needs such as onsite support, registration, venues, catering, shipping, audio-visual, and entertainment.
- Align with sales, marketing, and customer success on audience strategy and event content.
- Coordinate attendee logistics such as travel, accommodations, and run-of-show planning.
- Support HR with logistics for company meetings and internal team-building activities across a distributed, coast-to-coast workforce.
- Work with the San Francisco Office Manager or a third-party warehouse on storing, maintaining, and shipping event materials.
- Juggle several projects at once in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Assist the wider marketing team with additional initiatives as required to support team and company goals.
Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in an Events Manager, Experiential Marketing Manager, or comparable corporate role.
- Demonstrated success creating lead generation and pipeline impact through B2B trade shows and conferences.
- Background managing multiple event types, including in-person conferences, virtual meetings, hybrid events, customer workshops, and company retreats.
- Strong history of delivering events on schedule and within budget.
- Prior experience in senior living is a plus.
- Familiarity with B2B and technology-focused events.
Skills and Working Style

- High attention to detail and strong accuracy.
- Excellent spoken and written communication, including the ability to create targeted event messaging before and after events.
- Creative, proactive problem-solver who can anticipate issues early.
- Strong planning and time management abilities with the capacity to handle several priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable across different responsibilities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners.
- Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership of whatever is needed.
- Up to date on current event, marketing, and measurement best practices.
Tools
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Monday.com or similar project management platforms, Salesforce, and Slack.
- Willing to learn, adopt, and help others use new tools and technologies as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience.
Additional benefits include a mission-driven culture, fully remote work, fully paid employee medical, dental, and vision premiums, a 401(k) program, monthly education/well-being/work-from-home stipends, non-accrual PTO, growth opportunities, company retreats, and medical plus family/parental leave.
