This opportunity is being shared on behalf of a partner employer that handles the application review and all subsequent hiring steps. The hiring company is seeking a Data Specialist who is located in Germany.
The role centers on taking ownership of the full data stack, including pipelines, analytics, and reporting, within a fully remote international setting. You will build dependable data flows, create scalable dashboards, and safeguard the accuracy and consistency of reporting that supports business-critical decisions. Working closely with engineering and business stakeholders, you will turn raw information into practical insights that help guide operations and strategy. The environment is fast-paced and highly independent, so the position calls for strong accountability, careful execution, and a proactive approach to solving problems. You will also help uncover data anomalies, improve data quality, and strengthen analytics capabilities across the company. Key accountabilities
- Oversee and refine end-to-end data pipelines and warehouse processes, using ETL tools such as Stitch and Google BigQuery.
- Create, update, and support dashboards and reporting assets in Looker Studio to serve business intelligence needs across teams.
- Set up and monitor Google Analytics 4 implementations, including event tracking, validation, and consistent reporting.
- Run thorough data checks and quality assurance steps to keep reporting outputs accurate, reliable, and consistent.
- Watch data movement closely to spot irregularities, investigate issues early, and apply fixes before they affect decisions.
- Prepare tailored reports and analysis for different business teams as needed.
- Partner with engineering and other stakeholders to improve data architecture, tracking methods, and reporting structures.
- Keep clear documentation, track tasks effectively, and maintain organized workflows with tools like Trello and Slack.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or similar analytics-oriented role.
- Practical experience with ETL and data pipeline tools such as Stitch or comparable platforms, plus data warehousing in Google BigQuery.
- Strong working knowledge of Looker Studio, including dashboard development and advanced calculated metrics or reporting logic.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, including event tracking, implementation, and interpretation of user behavior data.
- A demonstrated ability to validate datasets, QA dashboards, and maintain accuracy across reporting workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and meaningful insights in complex data.
- Experience producing customized reports and insights for cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to document work and operate independently in a remote environment.
- Clear communication skills, with responsiveness and precision in distributed team settings.
