Data Scientist

Role overview

CareCone Group is looking for a Data Scientist focused on AI and machine learning for airline-related business problems in Dubai. The position is a contract role and requires at least 5 years of experience, with prior exposure to the airline or aviation sector preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and put into production AI and machine learning models for airline use cases such as pricing, demand prediction, customer analysis, and operational improvement.
• Create intelligent solutions using NLP, generative AI, large language models, and chatbot technologies.
• Work through large volumes of structured and unstructured data to uncover meaningful business insights.
• Partner closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to turn data into practical solutions.
• Build and run scalable applications on cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Track model output over time and refine accuracy and performance as needed.

Required capabilities

• Solid background in machine learning, deep learning, and AI implementation.
• Practical experience with NLP, LLMs, generative AI, RAG, and chatbot development.
• Strong command of Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Working knowledge of FastAPI, Flask, and Docker.
• Airline or travel industry experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to real-time data processing and AI automation workflows.
• Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, Snowflake, or similar data and AI platforms.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional teams.
