Test Analyst

Role Overview

CM6RI is looking for a careful and analytical Test Analyst to help maintain software quality, dependability, and performance. This full-time role is suitable for an entry to mid-level professional who can assess applications against business and functional expectations before release.

What You’ll Do

• Create, refine, and run manual and/or automated test cases from business and technical requirements.
• Log, monitor, and manage defects and software issues using test tracking systems.
• Carry out functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Examine system specifications to confirm test completeness and correctness.
• Build test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
• Check bug fixes and retest resolved issues.
• Assist release and deployment work by completing final validation tests.
• Keep test records up to date and ensure requirements can be traced to test cases.
• Help strengthen testing practices, tools, and quality standards.
• Identify potential risks and quality concerns during the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Prior exposure to software testing, quality assurance, or a related IT function is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and common testing approaches.
• Experience with manual testing and/or automation tools is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with test management platforms such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Some understanding of programming or scripting languages is beneficial.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Comfort working in agile or cross-functional team environments.
• Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage several test cycles at once.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
