Management Trainee

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Management Trainee in Finance for a structured rotational program designed to build future-ready finance leaders. The position is aimed at high-potential Chartered Accountants and offers practical exposure across finance operations, planning, compliance, reporting, and business decision support. After completing the program successfully, the trainee is expected to move into an independent finance position within the organization.

The role focuses on strong analytical thinking, business partnering, governance, and efficient processes while staying aligned with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecasts, while performing variance analysis, cost monitoring, and business performance reviews.
• Create MIS dashboards, management reports, and presentation materials to support leadership decisions and evaluate key business drivers.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Analyze cash flow, working capital indicators, and fund usage, while contributing to financial control and risk management efforts.
• Take part in internal audits, process reviews, and risk assessments, and suggest control enhancements, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
• Contribute to digitization and automation work, and collaborate with business, operations, and leadership teams on finance transformation initiatives.
• Continuously improve finance workflows and reporting efficiency through cross-functional project work.

Required skills and competencies

• Strong understanding of financial accounting, costing, taxation, and audit practices.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong command of MS Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity with SAP.
• Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.
• Ownership mindset, integrity, and close attention to detail.
• Learning agility and the ability to adapt quickly.

Location and mobility

This position is based in Gurugram, Haryana. The selected candidate may also be asked to travel to other locations within India and outside India as needed.
