Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Harare, Zimbabwe supports the daily running of HR activities. The Human Resources Assistant helps keep employee records up to date, supports recruitment, coordinates onboarding, assists with training, and helps administer employee benefits. The role also includes updating HR systems, preparing HR-related documents, and handling employee questions. You will work closely with HR leadership and other departments to help maintain policy compliance, meet local labor requirements, and encourage a positive employee experience.
Key Duties
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Support recruitment activities and help coordinate the hiring process.
- Assist with onboarding for new hires.
- Help organize training activities and track participation.
- Support benefits administration, including updates and employee communication.
- Enter, update, and manage data in HR information systems.
- Prepare HR letters, forms, and other documents as needed.
- Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with HR management and other teams to support compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have a foundation in HR practices and HR management. Experience with HR information systems, benefits administration, and training coordination is also expected. Strong organization, time management, accuracy, and attention to detail are important, along with effective written and spoken communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working with diverse teams and using office software for documents, spreadsheets, email, and basic data handling. A certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred, and prior HR support experience is an advantage.
