Group Financial Controller (Irish PLC)

Role overview

A growing, well-established organisation is looking to add a Group Financial Controller to its finance leadership team in Dublin West. This is a senior appointment with broad visibility across the business, giving the right person the chance to help shape financial reporting, internal controls, and the wider finance agenda.

What you will do

You will take full ownership of group reporting and consolidation, making sure management and statutory financial information is accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with senior leaders to translate financial results into clear business insight. You will also help strengthen systems, processes, and control frameworks, while ensuring continued compliance with changing regulatory expectations and IFRS standards.

Alongside reporting, the position has a strong strategic dimension. You will support acquisition activity, lead acquisition accounting, and assist with the integration of newly acquired businesses into the group structure. In addition, you will guide and develop a small finance team, creating a supportive and high-performing environment.

Candidate profile

This role is best suited to a qualified accountant with ACA or ACCA credentials and Big 4 training. You should bring solid technical knowledge of IFRS and group reporting, plus hands-on experience in a plc or other complex multi-entity setting. Strong stakeholder management, clear communication, and a proactive approach are essential for success.
