Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is conducting an in-person hiring drive in Kolkata for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Developer. The role is focused on building and supporting cloud data solutions, with strong exposure to GCP services and modern data engineering practices.

Interview Details

This is a face-to-face drive scheduled for 13 June 2026 (Saturday) in Kolkata. The interview window is from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Experience Required

Candidates should have 6 to 12 years of relevant experience.

Technical and Functional Expectations

• Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform, especially Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
• Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals such as data modelling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing.
• Practical experience with Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and messaging or streaming systems such as Pub/Sub.
• Good programming ability in Python, Java, or SQL.
• Working knowledge of data governance practices, including data quality, security, and compliance.
• Exposure to big data ecosystems such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with machine learning tools and frameworks like TensorFlow or Scikit-learn.
• Prior experience with other cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are expected.

Certification Preference

Relevant Google Cloud certifications are preferred, such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer or Google Cloud Certified - Enterprise Data Engineer.

Additional Information

Location for the role and the drive is Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This opportunity is for a full-time onsite position.
